Decoration workshop brings festive fun to Greenwich Millennium Village

The Village Square at Greenwich Millennium Village welcomed residents to a festive decorations workshop in December.

All the family had the chance to get involved with craft activities for children and adults, including star-style festive wreaths, table centrepieces and Christmas tree decorations to create.

Homeowners from GMV had the chance to drop in to the free workshop and take part, with experts on hand to add some creative tips for producing the perfect seasonal decoration to add an extra touch of colour and sparkle through the winter months.

Celebrating the multicultural diversity of the Greenwich Millennium Village development, the event saw residents from many different backgrounds and faiths come together to join in and enjoy being part of the strong sense of community that the area is well known for.

With excellent access to the city and its many natural green spaces, which includes a four-acre freshwater ecology park, Greenwich Millennium Village is London’s favourite village and has become a hugely popular destination for residents looking for the perfect balance of city living and relaxing green spaces.

Peter Willis, Managing Director Countryside Partnerships, Home Counties East, commented:

Creating opportunities for our residents to come together and celebrate the sense of community that Greenwich Millennium Village is so well known for is an important part of what makes living here so special.

Our festive decorations event gave residents of all ages the chance to be creative and meet new people, while also building deeper friendships with residents they already knew. What better way could there be to mark this time of year than to share a smile and a bit of joy with your neighbours?
