High-Speed Fun and Community Connection: F1 Thrills at Greenwich Millennium Village

Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV) was recently the vibrant venue for an unforgettable Formula 1 Experience, as residents and visitors alike gathered for a thrilling weekend of community fun. Hosted by Rendall and Rittner, in partnership with Sky, the event offered a blend of excitement and family-friendly entertainment, providing another fantastic opportunity to bring residents together.

The centrepiece of the event was undoubtedly the F1 simulator, where attendees were challenged to test their driving skills on a virtual Silverstone track. This simulator provided an immersive experience, allowing participants to feel the rush of F1 racing as they competed for the fastest lap time. The leaderboard added some fun competition, as families and friends vied for the top spot, turning the event into a community showdown.

Sky also showcased their award-winning Sky Glass, giving attendees the chance to explore this innovative technology firsthand. The Sky team was on hand to provide demonstrations, allowing participants to discover the features of Sky Glass and even challenge their friends to immersive games on Sky Live. For those who were feeling lucky, there was also the chance to win a Sky Glass.

With the summer holidays in full swing, the event was designed to be a perfect day out for families. In addition to the F1 simulator, there were various activities on offer to keep everyone entertained. Free popcorn and refreshments ensured that no one went hungry, while face painting added a splash of colour and creativity for the younger attendees. The atmosphere was lively, with laughter and smiles all around.
